Each band applies only to the users in that band
Steadnet’s guide uses £60 per user for positions 1–5, £55 for 6–10, £50 for 11–25, £45 for 26–50 and £40 for 51–100, monthly and excluding VAT. Teams of 101 or more receive a bespoke quote.
Two worked examples
Ten users: five at £60 plus five at £55 gives £575 per month excluding VAT. Twenty-five users: add fifteen at £50, giving £1,325 per month excluding VAT.
Crossing into a lower-priced band does not reprice the earlier users. The calculator uses the same progressive calculation.
Understand the assumptions
The estimate covers one primary workstation per user and is subject to an IT review. Scope, responsibilities, coverage and response targets are agreed individually. The guide is not a promise of fixed or round-the-clock support hours.
Budget for separately scoped work
Licences, hardware, onboarding, projects, onsite work and shared infrastructure are separate. Servers and environments with additional complexity need assessment rather than being hidden inside a workstation estimate.
Prepare for an IT review
Bring your team size, main platforms, device list, existing suppliers and recurring problems. Identify who can approve changes and which systems are most important. This helps establish a service with clear ownership and realistic costs.
